# Gian Marco Del Freo

> Frontend engineer with 8+ years of experience. I started freelancing while still at school, worked on-site in Berlin, and since 2023 I've been at Geckosoft, where I lead the frontend team.

Most of my work is in React and Angular with TypeScript. At Geckosoft I've shipped more than 14 projects, and I look after architecture, code review and mentoring.

Outside working hours I build PartyUp, management software for nightclubs that five venues use today.

I like learning things I don't know yet, and I like handing on the things I do.

### Founder — PartyUp (Jan 2025 — Present)

Management software for nightclubs: door, VIP tables, PR lists, bar, cash registers and inventory in one system. Five clubs use it today, and more than €1M has gone through the events it runs. I design the product and build it, from the interface to what goes live, outside my full-time job.

An AI company in Berlin. I designed and built the interface of an app fed by a webcam: the images went through AI models and a backend, and the frontend let users work with what was detected and correct the defects the AI had flagged. Built with Vue.js and Tailwind.

I started freelancing while still at school. More than 50 projects for companies, professionals and local businesses, mostly landing pages and SaaS apps built with Next.js and Vite, each handled end to end: requirements, going live and support.
